MONSTERS - 70s VINYL RECORD MYSTERY

A well-meaning co-worker gave this to me. I can’t find any information on who these guys really are. All I know is Hugo & Luigi we’re executive producers. It is not very good. Some of the original songs are mediocre at best. The covers are horrible. Especially the version of “Monster Mash”. Below is one of the original numbers entitled "Transylvania Disco Hustle." The whole LP is on You Tube.

MONSTER PHOTO FUN 2016

You knew it was coming. More Monster Photo Fun. The spawn of the old Cracked Magazine monster issues and the Topps You'll Die Laughing Cards. As always, click on the photo to enlarge.

Only a true monster movie fan will get that joke.

COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN 2016

It is time again for the Countdown to Halloween. I enjoy this because I get a great amount of traffic to this blog, but also because I get to write about monster movies and horror related music. Enjoy and leave a comment to let me know you visited.

I found this cool horror movie collage on Tumblr. If I found out whop posted it, I'll give them credit. I'll have to go back and look.

R. I. P JACK DAVIS

You may not recognize the name, but you will recognize the artwork. Mad magazine and TV Guide covers, print ads for the TV show Cheers, Sesame Street children's books, covers for several country artist (he must have been a favorite of Homer & Jethro), the famous "giant Frankenstein Monster poster" that was advertised in comic books of the 60s & 70s, the designs for Mad Monster Party and the Jackson 5 cartoon and the Man From UNCLE lunchbox. Jack Davis was everywhere.
